Actress Nakama Yukie (32) is starring as an unpopular woman in a new drama titled, “Renai Neet ~ Wasureta Koi no Hajimekata ~”, which is airing Fridays at 10 starting January of next year.

This romantic comedy is about men and women in their 20s to 40s who cannot progress in love because of their social status. Nakama Yukie is actually the same age as her character who hasn’t had a boyfriend in 8 years. Her character professes, “I haven’t had sex in 8 years,” because of her career in the publishing industry.

Nakama starred in NHK’s 2006 Taiga drama, “Koumyo ga Tsuji” and the popular drama series “TRICK” and “Gokusen.” She has portrayed a wide range of acting skills that include quirky characters and even historical figures. Nakama commented, “I’m portraying an office lady this time. I’m looking forward to shooting a love life of a 30 year old.”
